My favorite season of all, fall which in all irony I shouldn't be liking it as much because fall doesn't really happen around here, newsflash, but still this whole a/w collection makes me wish I lived in a different country so I can fully style these pieces appropriately for the season.

This year, Topshop is all about "the wild one", the one that always had an edge. In this collection,  you'll be seeing leather trousers with laced leg detailing or a black leather zipped skirt worn with killer heels. Basically, she's an apologetically bad girl. You'll also notice that in this collection it is mainly inspired from the lates 60's with a tonne of punk references. Animal prints and patterns on Ponyskins, retro vinyl Macs all worn with a dose of attitude and receive urban twist when bombers and parkas are luxed up with fox-furs.

Aside from the wild one, Topshop also releases their collection called "winter garden" which is all about the feminine girls of the 70's. You'll definitely notice a whole lot of botanical prints and earthy tones with victorian laces and bohemian pussy-bow-tie-necks. What is the 70's comeback without the flared legs and culottes? I even got a pair of culottes to myself because this is what defines this era. Along those trends, the outerwear for this is highly depicted on androgynous classic crombies, capes and trenches as well as sheepskin car coat and suede bomber jackets.

For Dorothy Perkins, it's all about Glitz and Glam for this season. Notice the addition of deep and rich purples and glitzy silver greys as you walk in their stores. Like topshop, their also going for the 60s trend with shift dresses and turtlenecks. There's this one piece that I really loved called the wrap which is basically a suede jacket, you should check that out as well.

Definite black pieces are underpinning this whole trend but blouses are romantic with its lace detailing and voluminous sleeves. It's the perfect time to layer and play a mix and match with these pieces.
