THE CLICHE YEAR ENDER POST

Dec 31, 2014

The year has finally come to an end and to be honest the first few months of 2014 were brutal but I'm proud to say that I am somewhere close to what I like to call is a happy state of mind. Looking back the year just really makes me think how much stronger of a woman I've become but I don't want to get into details because it might get too cheesy and that is not how I pictured out this post to be.

Put those aside, 2014 has opened lots of opportunities for me as well, I think I'm finally coming out from my underground blogger shell and just trying to be a little more open to this community. This year I'd have to say Monica Blogs has reached another milestone, I also finally decided to customize my domain and I sure have been a lot active than I was the past year or so. I've been getting freebies and invites from brands and it makes me giddy that they've noticed me and this blog of mine. I had my first ever interior project which was kind of a big deal for me and I've made friends and connections, I've come to know myself more with all of those experiences.

Here's a quick run through of my style throughout the year and how my style (and hair) has changed.

I'm cramming this year ender post because as per usual, I never plan anything and with that I decided to just be cliche than ever by incorporating this year's highlights and of course what I'm thankful for in 2014. Well, there are countless things I am thankful for and let me just name a few that would best be said in here.

Blog Readers. If not for you guys who would keep pushing me to post on a more regular basis, this blog would probably be covered in cob webs. There were tons of times that I stopped posting and suddenly people would be up on twitter or ask.fm and would tell me to start posting again or more often and that's when I realized I actually have blog readers. I thank you all for the ever supportive things that you do and I just get so excited with the comments, you guys are so nice.

Genuine Friendship. Although, I'm kind of distant with my friends I know who's real and I'm thankful for them. Friends you can truly count on especially when I was on the verge of just breaking down, I had awesome people to keep me company and also good advice I must say.

iPhone. Okay, I know this is quite materialistic than the rest but I am truly grateful for my phone, I don't know how I'd be able to take photos on a regular basis without it. It's just so handy and it's kind of like one of the things I can't ever leave (especially when I'm thirdwheeling, very helpful)

Adventures. I am so in love with the idea of wanderlust and just going on adventures may it be little or big and I know I have been throughout this year, traveling with my friends was also a blast and  I cannot wait to do more of that in this upcoming year.

And of course, I'm grateful for my family, God and life itself which sometimes or more often than not can be a pain in the ass but I guess that's just how it goes. This whole year I spent it without my oldest sister and it was just really sad at times when I know I'd be able to talk to her about stuff except that she wasn't here so I had to keep it in because I don't know who else I could talk to and I'm really thankful for her and I'm just choking right now because I am oozing with cheese, oh my gosh too cheesy, I'm thankful for my siblings, they are (annoyingly) precious. I actually can't wait for my sister and brother to come home.

The last thing I'm thankful for is myself and how I chose to stay single the entire time, just coming out from a relationship when this year started really opened my eyes to so many things and it helped me grow as an individual which would have never happened if I didn't get out of it.Things were so different a year ago and so I was too.

No to resolutions, if you wanna make a change, don't wait for the first of January, make it happen when it feels right and you think you need to. As for me, I might have to evaluate myself a little more and rethink how I should be from this day and onwards. I am actually so hyped for this year because I have so many plans and I can't wait for them to start happening.

I'm all so grateful for everyone who has been supporting me throughout the entire time I've been blogging, thanks for being a part. I wish you all a happy new year!

And as for 2015, let's make it count.
XX, Monica
